Welcome to Amaranth Arts online store! I am Karen Arthur, a local artist from Winston Salem, North Carolina. My art varies in materials, presentation, and inspiration. I drift from one modality to another, eventually cycling back when inspiration hits. The only over-arching theme I have identified over the years is that all of my art expresses mine and other’s emotions about daily life. I have a chronic pain condition, and making art relaxes me. Each line, color, trace of a paintbrush, expresses what may be inexpressible otherwise. You’ll see I have varied interests, including glass paint, murals, textiles, yarn art, and book-making!
