The Mouse Knows. Glass paint on canvas. 2017.

The Mouse Knows is part of my 2017 Harvest Series. The mouse watches death’s work at the end of the harvest season, careful to stay out of the way. Inside his house, he gets plump and hides seeds that Death delivers from outside. Spirits follow the colorful paths below back to their families to share in festivals of life and death while the veil is still thin.

Glass paint gives a similar look and feel of resin or stained glass. All glass paint pieces are painted with toothpicks and pipettes. This is an original piece of art, a one-of a kind.
